One lamp burns out, the heat distribution goes sideways, and suddenly you’re staring at a massive OEM invoice that makes your eyes water. We decided to fix that. We make replacement infrared lamps that hit the exact same specs as the factory ones, but without that “brand name” tax. Let’s talk power. Getting PET preforms to that perfect glass transition temperature is a science. If your voltage doesn’t line up exactly with your machine’s transformer, you’re asking for trouble. Either the filament pops way too early, or the bottles come out with weird wall thickness because they didn’t get enough heat. And a quick tip: if you’re running high-wattage tubes to keep your cycle times fast, your electrical contacts are taking a beating. Before you plug in new lamps, take a second to check your sockets. If they’re pitted or charred, you’re just setting yourself up for another failure. The gear itself We use high-purity quartz glass because these things go through a lot of thermal shock. It’s a brutal environment. Plus, we use a focused coating to push the IR radiation inward toward the preform. Why waste heat on the oven housing when it should be hitting the plastic? As for the fit, we stick to standard R7s or Sk15 connectors. They snap in tight. No loose fits, no dangerous arcing at the terminals. Just a solid connection. Getting them on the floor These are true drop-in replacements. You don’t have to mess with your reflectors or spend hours rewriting your PLC heating curves. You just swap them out and get back to work. But here is the thing: high-output lamps make the oven get hot. Really hot. If you’re pushing your wattage to the limit to squeeze out more throughput, keep an eye on your cooling fans. If they’re choked with dust, your lamps are going to die early, no matter who manufactured them. My advice? Don’t swap every lamp at once. Stagger the replacements.
