If you’re running Husky HyPET systems, you know that just cranking up the wattage isn’t the answer. It’s not about raw power; it’s about how that heat actually gets into the plastic. You need infrared wavelengths that can punch through the wall of the preform without scorching the surface. That’s exactly where we focus our design. The struggle with heat penetration Most standard lamps just bake the surface. The outside gets hot, but the core stays cold. When you go to blow that bottle, you end up with uneven walls and a lot of headaches. We do things differently with our quartz and halogen cycles to shift the emission spectrum. By hitting that mid-to-shortwave IR range, the energy skips the “skin” and sinks deep into the PET. It heats the material from the inside out. It just works better. Keeping up with high-speed lines Husky machines move fast. Really fast. Your lamps have to keep up with those rapid cycles without just giving up and burning out. We make our tubes as direct, drop-in replacements. They fit the footprint and match the electrical load of your OEM specs perfectly. One quick tip: if you’re running high-wattage tubes, keep an eye on your cooling blowers. If the air isn’t moving, that heat density builds up in the oven and kills your filaments way too early. The nitty-gritty of installation We use standard connectors so you can get wired up and back in business quickly during a changeover. No fussing around. We also treat the quartz glass. PET off-gassing usually leaves a cloudy film on the tubes, which blocks the heat. Our treatment stops that buildup from happening.
